A girl I knew in college has a blog titled “What Kind of Day Has It Been?” (On a side note, she probably doesn’t know I read it, and she might now because this feeds to my Facebook. Hi Tiffanie! Chances are, if I know you and your blog is linked on Facebook, I probably read it. I am a blogaholic.)
What kind of day has it been?
The kind where I took an hour and a half nap and didn’t feel like I slept, and woke up drenched in sweat and entirely uncomfortable.
The kind where I almost cried in the grocery store because I had the worst cart known to man and fought with it all the way through.
The kind where we had butter-drenched steak sandwiches for dinner at 8:30.
The kind where I found out going to grocery store and then cooking dinner is enough to wear me out entirely! I couldn’t even fathom putting leftovers away and cleaning up. It’s sad.
On a happy note, I am super excited about this: I have a bassinet that my grandpa built and my dad (and his siblings) slept in when they were babies. It is lovely but needed some cleaning and painting. On his own accord, Mr. V decided today was the day and got it out and sprayed it down with the hose and painted it white. It looks beautiful and I’m so excited our baby will be able to sleep in it for a little while.
